Hats off to NSDDA acting teacher, Erica Scanlon, who is appearing as "Millie" in the New Candlelight Theatre's "Thoroughly Modern Millie." Howard Shapiro of the the Philadelphia Inquirer said, "the former Miss New Jersey was a clear standout, carrying the show. She has a full, compelling stage voice and presence, even during a second-act steno-pool scene that demands that she be oblivious to the action. Whenever she's on stage at the professional dinner theater in Ardentown, Del., you know things will be all right - her Millie's the tops." Visit ncp.art.officelive.com/TICKETS.aspx to get your tickets to see Miss Erica in action!

NSDDA would like to welcome Gabriella Yudenich and Holly Fusco, of the PENNSYLVANIA BALLET, who will be permanently joining our ballet staff for our 09-10 session.

Jequrey Slaton and Stephen Wovna performed for two outstanding summer stock theatres this summer. Both summer stocks are extremely selective. We are very proud of Jequrey and Steve and wish them the best of luck.

Monica Blumenstein starred as Sarah, in Mainstage's summer production of "Guys and Dolls, " along with Kate Coyne who appeared as a Hot Box Girl.

Mark Boucher starred as Jake in the Broadway Theatre's Production of "High School Musical."

Tommy Betz performed in "Anything Goes" at Haddonfield Plays & Players.

Elisa Zaccone has been named captain of the Paul VI Dance Team.

Kathleen Nanni, of Broadway's Mary Poppins has permanently joined the NSDDA staff and will be teaching Intermediate Jazz and Advanced Jazz on Tuesday nights. The Next Stage is honored to have her on staff and is pleased that our students will be benefiting from her expert instruction.

The Ritz Theatre's 2008 production of FOOTLOOSE received 4 out of 4 stars from Robert Baxter of the Courier Post. Ms. Daniels, NSDDA's artistic director, received the following review regarding her choreography:

"Courtney Daniels dazzles the eye with her choreography. The dancing never seems to stop, and Daniels never fails to build each sequence to an explosion of colorful movement...The dancing electric."

The Next Stage Brings Broadway to Barrington:
Original and current cast member of Broadway's Mary Poppins, Kathleen Nanni, instructing over 25 dancers at the Next Stage Dance & Drama Academy's Dance Intensive.
