PROJECT DANCE
2010

May 27 & 28, 2010

Project Dance is a unique performance opportunity that celebrates our area’s most innovative dancers, musicians and choreographers. Project Dance allows student artists of different disciplines, backgrounds and abilities to collaborate with professional dancers, choreographers and musicians to celebrate life through dance.

The purpose of Project Dance is to increase community awareness of the importance of arts education in our nation’s school systems.

Our 2009 cast included over 100 student artists from different middle schools, high schools, colleges and studios. We are proud to provide instruction and performance opportunities to performers of all ages and backgrounds. Young artists of all types are included making this a very special and unique event.

Our staff includes a wide spectrum of professional performing artists. Project Dance performers are afforded the opportunity to work with cast members from Broadway’s Mary Poppins, members of Philadanco, former Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders, a former professional ballerina with Germany’s Coburg Ballet, former St. Joseph's University Dance Team coaches, Forrestburgh Playhouse’s resident choreographer, in addition to many other reputable instructors and studio owners from all over the Tri-State area. While participating in Project Dance, young artists collaborate with these reputable artists who possess a wealth of experience.
